Proud Winners of the Motor Boat of the Year Awards 2013 for “Outstanding Customer Service”

In January 2013 Haven Knox-Johnston was delighted to have been given the most prestigious award in the industry for outstanding customer service.

The world’s boating industry gathered at the Savoy Hotel London on Monday 14th January for the 2013 Motor Boat of the Year Awards. John Macaulay, Managing Director and Keith Lovett, Business Production Manager of Amlin’s Yacht Division – Haven Knox-Johnston, were there however unaware they had been nominated for an award.

The Outstanding Customer Service Award is voted for by readers of Motor Boat & Yachting and Motor Boats Monthly as well as visitors to ybw.com and is described as “the most prestigious award in the industry for excellent customer relations.” As ever, brokers and dealers fared very well, but this year there was a huge and impassioned response from one particular insurer’s customers!

Haven Knox-Johnston came first having impressed the boating public with their exceptional service. This is the first time an insurance provider has won the award, a huge acknowledgement for the insurance industry as a whole.

Commenting on the award afterwards John Macaulay said “Clearly this is an incredible honour for our business of which I am hugely proud.”
