1. The Financial Services Authority (FSA)

The FSA is the independent watchdog that regulates financial services. Please use this information to decide if our services are right for you.

2. Whose product do we offer?

We offer the following products from Amlin Syndicate 2001 at Lloyd’s:

  • Pleasure Craft Insurance for private use
  • Floating Homes Contents Insurance
  • Commercial Hull & Liability Insurance
  • Cargo insurance

In addition we offer Marine Legal Protection Insurance administered by Arc Legal Assistance Ltd and underwritten by Inter Partner Assistance S.A.

3. Which service will we provide you with?

You will not receive advice or a recommendation from us regarding the products listed above.

4. What will you have to pay us for our services?

No fee for our insurance service.

You will receive a quotation which will tell you about any other fees relating to the insurance policy.

5. Who regulates us?

Haven Knox-Johnston is a trading name of Amlin Underwriting Services Limited, St Helen’s, One Undershaft, London EC3A 8ND which is authorised and regulated by the UK Financial Services Authority. The FSA Register number is 312292.

Our permitted business is General Insurance (Marine). You can check this on the FSA’s Register by visiting the FSA’s website www.fsa.gov.uk/register/ or by contacting the FSA on 0300 500 5000.

6. Ownership

Amlin Underwriting Services Limited is ultimately owned by Amlin plc.

8. Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?

Lloyd’s insurers are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. You may be entitled to compensation from the Scheme if a Lloyd’s insurer is unable to meet its obligations to you under this contract. If you were entitled to compensation under the Scheme, the level and extent of the compensation would depend on the nature of the contract.
